    Morning Star Farm Nigerian Dwarf Dairy Goats    

Morning Star Farm is a small 1870's homestead situated on approximately 33 acres in Benton, Maine. We have been seriously raising and breeding goats for almost 10 years. Our main goal is to continue to improve upon the qualities of the Nigerian. These qualities include strong, healthy, correct animals having good mammary systems and dairy character. And, naturally, LOTS OF COLOR! We offer show and pet quality animals, blue eyed and brown eyed animals are available. CAE negative.     Roundabout Minifarm Nigerian Dwarf Goats    

Hi! We are Linda Toivainen and Irving Walker, and we raise Nigerian Dwarf Goats in southern Maine. Linda has had goats since the early 1970's, starting out with a few unregistered Alpines for milk. We have been raising our favorite breed of goat, the Nigerian Dwarf, since 1987. We usually breed to have kids born in April and May. Most of the kids are raised by their dams, but are handled daily so they will be friendly. We do have all our kids disbudded, although we ourselves prefer horns on our own goats. Udder View Farm breeds Oberhasli and Alpine goats. We are in our third year and are members of ADGA, DHIA, HOMDGA, and OBA. We are implementinga strict CAE prevention program, have our goats Linear Appraised, and are on milk test.
