    Shooting Star Ranch    

We are located in Placerville, Ca in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains 1/2 way between Sacramento and Lake Tahoe. We raise, breed, milk and show Nigerian Dwarf goats. The milk from these miniature dairy goats make wonderful cheese, soap, ice cream, butter etc. because of their high butter-fat content of 6 - 10%. We also participate in 4-H with them and put on two annual shows. We have some blue-eyed goats. While Nigerians can breed year-round, we usually kid in March and April. Reservations are being taken.
